This is a small post about my grandmother, or bestemor as we call her in my family.  If you're wondering "Why the weird name?"  It's because my bestemor is from Norway and bestemor is Norwegian for grandma.  She was born in '29 and both her parents were from Norway.  This just so happens to be true for the man she married.  My grandpa past away this past year after pneumonia.  As I saw my grandpa for the last time in a hospice home, I had my Yashica Electro 35 GT camera with me.  My grandpa wasn't aware of much of anything but when I pointed the camera at him to take a picture, he had the biggest smile on his face.  I haven't ever had that roll developed.  I'm too afraid of it not turning out.  But honestly, that's not the important part.  It's the fact that I'll remember that moment forever.

My bestemor has Alzheimer's disease so she doesn't remember a whole lot.  She's starting to forget most things.  She remembers a lot of distant memories but she can't remember what she did ten minutes ago.  I remember staying at their house and waking up early with her and watching TV in my grandpa's big recliner chair and eating honey bunches of oats every morning and it was so awesome.
