Coronado Island

I'm not a fan of sand or salt water or beaches in general so I was a little skeptical about my family's upcoming trip to an island in California named Coronado. Especially with MY family, who happen to be huge beach bums and spend almost all the time that we are on vacations on the beach. Luckily for me, Coronado Island happens to be one of the most beautiful places out there.

My family and I were blessed enough to be able to stay at The Hotel Del Coronado which has to be one of the most beautiful buildings I've ever seen. It opened in 1887 and has a whopping 680 rooms with many crazy, winding hallways and the whole hotel seems to be constructed as if they were just making it up as they went along. The outside of the hotel is a beautiful Victorian style building.

Since my family was on the beach most of the time, I had plenty of time to wander around the island with my Hasselblad and photograph the beautiful houses and scenery there. It was probably one of my favorite places I have ever traveled to. The place seems like it was just designed around what I like to take pictures of so it was a dream come true. It was also my first proper outing with my Hasselblad and I have to say it is the most amazing camera to shoot with and it yields some pretty amazing results.
