A New Outlook

I've been toying with my styles of photography lately trying to find something I really connect with. A few things have really stood out to me... I have always loved candid photography. I feel like it shows who a person really is a whole lot better than a set up portrait. I strive to portray the beauty in life and I feel like nothing can do it better than photographs of actual moments in life. I feel like those are truly beautiful. I also feel like there isn't a better medium to do so on as film. I've also always kind of been a film "purist" where I refused to touch the look of film once I scan it, to keep it as close to the real thing as possible but I've decided to give my pictures my own creative touch and I hope it makes a positive impact on the feel of my pictures. I've also started to find beauty in the imperfections of a slightly out of focus shot and I'm trying to be picky about my shots I've taken.

It's really cool to have friends who are also photographers. My best friends that I grew up with are all coincidentally very handy with cameras although one won't admit it. These shots were fired up in north Scottsdale with my best friend Curtis (pictured) and Brandon (who got there later).
